At the recent craft convention, my friend, Tiffany Windsor of Cool2Craft.com gave me a sample package of her new product, Cool2Cast Fiber Plaster.
I finally had time to experiment with it this weekend and loved it! Here's why...
I used it to make some fun window rings (plaster chunks with pictures embedded). I used silicone molds and paint. The whole process took about 24 hours. Give it a try - you can stamp on it with inks, sand it, paint it and anything else you can think of!
Here is a video tutorial I made for my rings - note: I used some for rings, and the rest for a collage project.

Here is my inspiration - Tiffany's sister, Heidi! She made these awesome rings and I knew I wanted to try them too!

Heidi's video here was great---I have saved 3 or so of the plastic "rings" from Orange juice--for making the rings, but I had FORGOTTEN where I had seen this used! Perfect!
ReplyDeleteI love this idea! I need cool craft ideas for my sorority's big/little week and I really want to try this. My mom would also love to do something like this. I am definitely going to give this a try. I hope it turns out as well as these ones did!
