I just put a deposit down on this. Hopefully it will be in the shop next week. I admit I'm probably getting this machine more for the form over function but I just love it's look. I have two very old Singers, a 1928 handcrank and a 1950's electric. I use both (though my everyday machine is a Janome 6600) and though I feel Singer as a major brand has fallen out of favor with many sewers, I'm hopeful the company is making a positive return to a reliable and affordable machine.
