Over at iLoveToCreate, we wanted to make a bold statement! We had four demos going on - Tulip Body Art - where artist Hope Perkins painted a model from head to toe; PattieWack demoed our Tulip Fabric Paints inside a spin art machine and then created a ginormous dress form with them, and Tiffany Windsor showed off the new Aleene's Dry Adhesive line in dozens of different ways.
As for me? This is what I did...
I sketched out a multiple-tiered shrine to house 50 pairs of shoes that I would decorate and then give to charity. Here is the base of the shrine, handmade with TLC by Jose at work. He even made the platforms spin!
After he finished, I went in and decorated it with all the new Crafty Chica products that are coming out in Michaels this month. That way the managers at the conference could see them!
The second part of the process was to outline the shoes with black dimensional paint. I did this part at home and our house smelled like sneaker rubber for a week! After I outlined each shoe - 100 total!
We then shipped them to the conference, where we set it all up and I colored the shoes on the spot!

In the end, the shoes went to Las Comadres Para las Americas who took them to a local Dallas school for girls to finish coloring and to wear them! Hopefully I'll have pictures soon!
Felicidades,
Kathy :-)
