Every meal was sponsored by a different company, complete with gifts at every setting. Our first breakfast? Starbucks!
After breakfast on the first morning, we were all instructed to form two lines. We had 90 seconds to introduce ourselves to the person in front of us, then they called out "90 seconds is up, move to the right!"
My first person I introduced myself to was a product development person from DEMDACO! Next was a crafts editor from Better Homes and Garden Magazine and then a book editor. Talk about awesome networking!
Later that morning I spoke on a BlogHer panel about social networking. I learned so much from my fellow panelists! It was a delight to sit with them and talk about our businesses to such a large crowd! I spoke later in the day on a another panel and throughout the weekend, I would go on to teach two classes on How to Teach an Online Class.
One of my BFF's, Traci Bautista, was also there to speak on a panel and teach!
This was the afternoon panel I was on. This is the amazing and talented Karen Walrond of Chookooloonks.com and Mena Trott of SewWeekly.com.
Jory, co-founder of BlogHer.com, myself and Karen Walrond.
This was an affirmation note on our lunch place setting, courtesy of Brave Girls Club.
Yay! iLoveToCreate and Crafty Chica are in there! We donated glitter and coupons to the tote bags!
One night we had a dinner buffet! I piled as much as I could on one plate, I refused to go to two plates, LOL!
There is a funny story behind this picture, watch this video to see!
Felicidades,
Kathy :-)
