Last month we took a vacation to Cabo San Lucas while on the Crafty Chica Cruise. If you have plans to visit and are like me and not into glass bottom boats, snorkeling or shopping in the hyper-tourist areas - I have great news! Take a taxi San Jose del Cabo. It's a small artsy town with a nighttime open air market, rows of cool boutiques and cute eateries! GOBS of crafty inspiration too!
Here are some pictures from our trip.
Painted wall mural. Tip - if you have a large group like we did, hire a coach. We went for $20 a person and had our own comfy bus!
Great prices on beer and tequila! i bought some vanilla tequila. Muy yummy!
This is a humungous tin heart that hung outside one of the shops. You know I dropped what I was doing to go check it out!
Courtyard area of some of the shops.
Lots of art in every shop, very high end and creative!
This shop was outdoors and had these fabric hearts trimmed in tin.
This was an open air Mexican coffee stand with fresh baked goodies. Ahhh, sweetness!
This is the patio area of the outdoor coffee house, it has a huge mural of Frida and the entire place is covered in jungle-type vines!
Jugglers performing in the middle of the street during the red light!
Carne asada tacos. Delish!
Crafty inspiration. I want to paint some frames like this! Love the patterns and colors!
Artful rattles on a stick!
This sign was made entirely out of milagros!
Felicidades,
Kathy :-)
