Calm yourself. New giveaway!

LINK

The team at Secret Deodorant has a new video campaign and asked if I'd share it here. As you know, I used to be an entertainment reporter over at The Arizona Republic and watching any and all reality shows used to be on my radar(that's my excuse and i'm sticking to it!).

One of my faves back in the day was Model Latina on SiTV. So when I clicked to watch this Secret commercial, I was delighted to see Mishell Livio in it! She was on the first season of the show! It looks like she has really gone on to craft a blooming career for herself! You can also see her in other TV commercials, and as a co-star in the online series, Talent.

The theme of this video is how people calm down after being stressed. Leave a comment sharing your method and one person will win a gift basket of Procter and Gamble beauty goodies!

  1. I love to burn a lavender candle and sew. Those 2 things relax me.

  2. One of the ways I calm myself is to listed to my favorite music. I can get lost in the music, dance or laugh, smile or even cry - tears of pain or joy. I always feel better afterward.

A good book, cup of tea, candle with woodsy scent, quilt over my legs, AND a piece of dark chocolate! Now that's how to calm myself!

  8. A warm bath, with lots of bubbles. That's what works for me.

  10. I sit outside or if bad weather inside - with my feet up - my favorite beverage next to me - and my mp3 going (earplugs in) and concentrate on the music - or i dance to the music - even some occasions I have sung along out loud (scared the family and neighbors-lol) and it is guaranteed that I will feel better. Also brushing my hair makes me feel wonderful!!

  11. Sometimes I just need to go for a nice drive alone. Nothing clears the air like a nighttime drive, singing badly all by my lonesome.

To get rid of that stress I usually read an issue of Woman's World Magazine while sipping on Green Tea or I will listen to a meditation CD or some tunes by Enya.

  13. Quiet...soft gentle music or tradewinds blowing...dimmed lights...eyes closed...sitting or prone...many slow, deep cleansing breaths...usually works after going in a closet and screaming!

Some how, some way, for some odd reason, when I am uptight and stressed, the sound of Eddie Vedder's voice soothes me in no time at all! Strange coming from a 56 year old Grandmother huh? You asked!?

  15. I grab a double cappicino and sit at my deskand just start playing with my art supplies. If I am super stressed I get out my metalsmithing supplies and pound away on some wire or copper(my fave) I can realy get lost.

  16. I hop in a bubble bath with a "can't put me down" book and a glass of wine. The bath and wine help me relax and a thrilling book takes me to another place so I can forget my trials and troubles...take me awayyyyyyyyyyyy!
