  2. Oh man!! Your cruisers are sooooo lucky!!
My first kiss was a dare, and, at the time I thought so gross, like I couldn't wrap my mind around the thought that this boy wanted to wiggle his tongue with mine! And then it was over, and I was like "huh! That's it?" LOL, so silly!!

    ReplyDelete
  3. My first kiss was so awkward for me because he was very smooth and experienced for a teenager. He was also my first lesson in boys gossip.

  4. technically, during a game of spin-the-bottle, but i don't really like to count that one.

My first kiss was at summer camp when I was 13. It was awkward like a first kiss probably should be.

  8. Summer camp, in a closet of all places. Putting away baseball equipment and I never saw it coming. Yuck!

    ReplyDelete
  9. Wow, you're taking me back...lol... First kiss was in 7th grade with the red head in my apartment complex. It was exciting and in retrospect rather chaste, at the time it didn't feel that way though...lol

  10. My first kiss was sooo long ago. I guess the one in kindergarten does not count. My "other" first kiss was in a closet at a party.
I think I will wait to tell my daughter these types of stories.

  11. The cruisers really struck gold! My first kiss was my square dance partner from 6th grade. It was short and sweet!

  12. I must have been like 13 and the boy I was seeing was a year older. We were in a Theatre group together and we snuck away on a lunch break. On our walk behind the ice rink, he kissed me. It was horrible. Needless to say, my husband (not the same guy as the 1st kiss) is a wonderful kisser.

    ReplyDelete
  13. My first kiss was at Picnicana Park by my house in Pennsylvania. Summer after 7th grade & I kissed brace face Richie K. It was weird & gross, and my lip kept brushing against his metal.

  14. What a wonderful giveaway!!!
My first kiss was weird. He was older by a few years. I thought I was so grown up. If I only knew then....

    ReplyDelete
  15. My first kiss was on a dare. I was 15 and never been kissed so my best friend, determined to not let me be 16 and never kissed, set up a truth or dare game and dared the boy I liked to kiss me. He did and it counts...lol.

  17. I was ambushed by another kid in my 2nd or 3rd grade class when I was walking home from school. He jumped out from behind a bush and laid a big wet smooch on my cheek. I was so mad! It sort of still makes me mad. :-)

my first "real" kiss was with a friend of my sisters... I was only 14 and SO eager!! I had braces (awkward!), and so when he leaned in to kiss me I was so excited I was still smiling instead of puckering up... long story short, he kissed my teeth and cut his lip... it was horrifying. BUT!! it was great practice for what not to do for future kisses, LOL!!

    ReplyDelete
  21. Oh my. He had braces and just cut my lips up like crazy. I remember being sore and red for several days. I did not go back for seconds!

  22. My first kiss was not magical like I thought it would be. It was with a guy I really cared about but the place...a graveyard! He lived nearby the graveyard and the road going through it was a shortcut to the gas station.

    ReplyDelete
  23. My first kiss is a very awkward story. I was 19 (yes I was a very sheltered child) and it was at a party with several of my friends, and it was with a friend of my best friends boyfriend. It was weird and maybe I should not have been as rebellious as I was then either. Oh well the past is the past and he was a really bad kisser.

  24. mine was while watching a disney movie. beauty and the beast. i was in high school.

  25. Ahh, Yes - the infamous Waterboarding incident of my sixteenth year. Wikipediia describes it perfectly as a form of torture in which water (in this case saliva) is poured over the face of an immobilized (I was in an embrace that somehow turned into a headlock) captive, causing the individual to experience the sensation of drowning. Needless to say, I avoided a repeat of the fiasco and that killed the budding relationship.
Fortunately, my husband is a perfect kisser and I love kissing him.

  26. My first kiss was at the skating rink we went to as kids. Awesome giveaway!

I had boyfriends in first, second, and third grades, followed by a long dry spell, LOL. I'm pretty sure at least one of those guys kissed me. Then there were plays where another character kissed my character -- those don't count. The first real romantic kiss was an old friend in a hot tub late one night, tipsy at a party, when I was 21. Those were fabulous kisses, even though things with us did not wind up going anywhere in particular.

  41. My first kiss...I was 15 and attending a high school party with some girlfriends. I was introduced to a friend's cousin and the pressure was on to have my first kiss. Later when the clock struck 12:00 and my friends and I were in a mad rush to get to the friend's house we were all sleeping over. He leaned over and gave me a wet, sloppy, rushed kiss before I dashed out the door. It was pretty gross after I thought about it. We certainly had a lot of laughs when we got to my friend's house.

    ReplyDelete
  42. My first kiss was while playing spin the bottle at the end of fifth grade. It was with my "boyfriend" (if you can really have one in fifth grade!) Very quick and if you blinked - you missed it!

    ReplyDelete
  43. My fist kiss was with my BFF's brother, I was 13. I thought he was the bees knees LOL had a crush on him forever. He walked me home after visiting my friend and kissed me ;-)

  50. Man, I barely remember my first kiss, but I am pretty sure it was with my best friend's twin brother. I don't think we actually "liked" each other that way- we just thought we should give it a try. Yuck- adolescence really is awkward!

  59. My first kiss was with Chris who lived down the street. It was so awkward and sweet. All lips, and very quick. Man, have I come a long way!!!

    ReplyDelete
  60. HAHAHA! I was akwardly trying to squeeze myself between my parents' front door and screen door in a somewhat nonchalant way because I was so nervous! Needless to say, it was rushed and sloppy and I was a little horrified! It was all up from there! :)

    ReplyDelete
  61. Ewww, cringe! I was in 3rd grade, Bobby in 5th. He tried to stick his tongue in my clenched mouth - he had older brothers but I had no clue about anything, just thought it was gross! He told everyone I kissed like a frog, but luckily everyone thought he was a jerk anyway and let it go. By the time of my second kiss in 8th grade, everything fell into place. Whew! :-)

    ReplyDelete
  62. I remember my first kiss like it was yesterday. I had a crush on a boy who not only went to the same school as I did, but he was my neighbor too. One day, a bunch of us were hanging out. I remember we were just laying there talking when he started to lean over. My tummy had more butterflies than it ever did. He closed his eyes. I closed mine. Then the expected happened! He gave me a BIG WET ONE! The funny thing is, I can't stress enough how wet his kiss was. I took the back of my hand and had to literally wipe all that saliva off! I mean, was he drooling? I was so traumatized by the experience that I didn't kiss another man for seven years. *Sigh* The things third graders do!

Hoping your daughter's first kiss turned out more special (and less...uh...juicy? LOL!) as mine!

    ReplyDelete
  63. OOPS, I typed that wrong! I was 5th grade and Bobby 6th. Either way, ick. :-P

  69. When I was about 4 years old (maybe even 3 1/2), I remember kissing the boy next door (he was the same age) as we sat on the front lawn one summer. If that doesn't count, around Valentine's Day when I was in first grade, at lunch I got a conversation heart that said, "Kiss me," so the boy sitting next to me did!

  70. I just spoke to my first kiss today. We have remained great friends 36 years later. But back then I was 15 and never been kissed. Yes it was awkward and he was more experienced than I was.

  76. My 1st kiss was with a college student. I had to be sneaky because my dad was very strict about who I dated or hung out with. It was like I was having out of body experience. I could not believe I was being kissed.

  82. I was in daycare or preschool, so I was probably about 4 years old. There were girls running screaming and I asked them why and they said that a boy was chasing them and kissing them. At some point I was the target of the kissing bandit, a little blonde boy. It was very sloppy and slobbery and I thought "Oh, so that's what the fuss is all about!"

I've never even told my friends this story, but feeling anonymous here may help. :) I was 13. He was 17. So the weird factor was already there. My next door neighbor knew he liked me, so she invited him over and then called and told me she'd baked cookies and to come over. As soon as I arrived, she ran off. Leaving me with the boy. And the cookie he wasn't quite done swallowing yet. Kiss... Thought. I. Would. Die. Good lord, how to we ever recover from adolesence? LOL heync AT bevmo DOT com

  122. I was much younger than he was (I know, what were my parents thinking?) So he had experience and it wasn't awkward at all. It also didn't send up crazy fireworks... it was rather uneventful!

  127. There was a shallow cave on the side of the hills behind my neighborhood and one day I went up there with a boy I knew. We looked at all the stuff the man who lived there collected to make his home, sat on some rocks and looked out over our neighborhood.
Then we kissed. I was six, he was probably eight.
I love that you do so many cool things!

  128. My first kiss was the definition of humiliation! It was at some cheesy Junior High dance and I remember some equally cheesy early 90's music playing (think C&C Music Factory) and some kid named Chad who had more metal in his mouth than our family car asked me to dance. While we were doing the kid rock side to side deal, he leaned in and kissed me, cutting my bottom lip in the process. It was horrible. :(

  130. First kiss...I've written several blog posts about that subject! Basically: left a night time birthday party for a walk in the adjacent golf course; walked; talked; starry summer sky; dry lips; a kiss that lasted forever and then some!

  131. First "real" kiss was a boy I called BMW Mark because he *said* he owned a BMW. On our first date he picked me up in a van! I still let him get to whatever base a kiss was because I was pretty sure I was the oldest person EVER not to have had a real kiss (17). We steamed up those van windows at a parking spot in the Gates Pass area of Tucson.

  137. Of course, after I looked, I didn't see that my comment ever posted. But, contest or not, you made me remember a girl I hadn't thought of in years. 35 years to be exact. I had just turned 10 years old and had a birthday party with lots of friends. My mom made us English muffin pizzas, and after we had my cake and ice cream. I had eaten so much ice cream that of course, my tummy was not feeling to well. After running around and playing I thought I would explode. I finally just layed down in the grass in the backyard and this cute girl named Denise sat next to me and rubbed my tummy. She was gently rubbing and whispering that she would not let me be sick because she was wearing a new dress and her mom would be mad if she ruined it. After her doing this for a few minutes I really forgot I felt bad. Denise looked down at me and kissed my cheek. Then my lips. And she said, "My mommy always makes me feel better like that so I know it should work good for you I think." I looked up and said, "You will be a good mommy too." Little did I know her family was planning on moving to Arizona that week, and I never saw her again.
