Anything goes when it comes to Day of the Dead. And it is all the better if it is handmade. Toys, frames, candles, food - even dolls! Here is an easy rag doll project, complete with a pattern! Make it to your liking!
Supplies:
1/2 yard light weight cotton fabric
Pattern
Pen
Needle and Thread
Batting/stuffing
Embellishments
Permanent fabric markers
Supplies:
Directions:
1. Draw and then lay out the two pattern pieces. Double the fabric and set the patterns on top. Trace the design and cut out.
2. Sew right side together, leaving an opening at the top of the body and the bottom of the skull.
3. Stuff with batting, stitch head onto body.
4. Draw skeleton body on front and back.
5. Embellish and dress.
Tip: Instead of white fabric, you can use contrasting patterned fabric for a folk art look.

Very nice. I have to rag dolls in my studio. I might do one for my Ofrenda next week. I think I can get it done if I start now. Thanks for sharing. (well I'll try)
