Tank Top Tuesday: Removeable Trim Tank

One shirt + Peel and Stick Tape = Three different looks!
Today's project took a while for me to arrive to the destination. But I'm happy because I love the end result! My original idea was to dye a tank to look like Fruit Stripe gum. I wanted this kind of pattern:

Even though I did a whole series of dye videos last year, I must be out of practice because my shirts looked nothing like this! I'm going to try it again using a freezer paper stencil. Anyway, I scrapped my first idea and went with a teal ombre technique. Once it was finished, I felt it needed a "pop factor."

This is what I came up with - removeable trim! I took a roll of Aleene's Fabric Fusion Peel and Stick Tape and applied it around the top of the tank and applied some trim. Then, I peeled it off and noticed that the tape was still very, very tacky. so I added another trim. And then a third!

This is a great way to alter a plain tank to fit your mood! When you need to wash your tank, leave on flat ribbon trim. The tape is permanent, but if you tug hard enough, you can peel off the ribbon and simply refresh the tape with a new layer!
