Chubby Girl Delight: Gingerbread Kiss Cookies

The other day at the grocery store, there was a sale on huge tubes of cookie dough. What caught my attention was that they had gingerbread cookie dough. I usually bake my cookies from scratch, so I'm not sure if gingerbread tubes are a new thing - but they were new to me.

I bought a tube, and my brain's Chubby Girl Delight concoction machine went into overdrive. It didn't take longer for a second for the bell to ring with a brilliant idea: Hershey Kisses on top! (I know I'm not the only one who put this gingerbread/chocolate combo together, but it was an exciting moment for me!)

All you do is spoon little blobs of the dough on a cookie tray, bake for 11 minutes, remove from oven and place a Kiss on top of each one.

Can you say heaven? What makes them even better is that people will expect them to be peanut butter cookies, so the gingerbread is a nice surprise. And combined with the warm chocolate? Delish!!! My family gobbled these up pretty quick and I know I'll be making more for the holiday season.

If you are going to a party and need to take something, but don't have a lot of time, Gingerbread Kiss Cookies are for you! also, if you want to earn brownie points from the fam, bingo!

Peace, love, and glitter!
Kathy :-)
P.S. Check out my new novel!

  1. Oh Crafty Chica! We just discovered that chocolate and gingerbread mix together great this year too! My son layered Christmas M&Ms all across the roof of his gingerbread house. We do not just put our houses out to admire....we eat them! We are now fighting over his house! It is so darn delicious! Next year we are making totally chocolate covered gingerbread houses!
