Hugo Medina's art show!

Our friend, Hugo, has a new show up at Barrio Cafe! I had only seen Hugo's sculptures, I had no idea he also painted - aren't these amazing?

“Canciones De Me Padre” (songs of my father)

Artist Hugo Medina will be exhibiting his art work for the first time since moving to Arizona from New York 10 years ago. This will be the first show he has put together since May 1998 Barrio Café will be displaying the series “Canciones De Me Padre” (Songs of my Father) throughout the month of August and September. The series of monotone paintings on display are a continuation of “La Guitara”. A series inspired by the songs his father used to play when he was young. This is the 1stof the series that doesn’t include metal sculpture, Medina’s preferred medium. Barrio Café is located 1 ½ blocks south of Thomas rd. on the west side of 16^th street.
