WANTED: Funny sewing anecdotes and more!

As of right NOW I'm in production of my next book, tentatively titled Crafty Chica's Guide to Artful Stitching. Want to be in it? Here is the deal:

It's a fun, artful, bouncy, kamikaze style sewing book for Potter Craft. My story: I haphazardly learned to work my sewing machine on sheer will and determination. I'm pretty dang proud of my progress and the art that has come out of my pedal to the metal stitching tactics. I never had a class before I started sewing seven years ago. Well, 7th grade Home Ec, but I forgot most of it. I had access to my mom's machine, but I was intimidated.

After after my Nana Cano, an excellent seamstress, passed away, Patrick bought me a machine and encouraged me to give it a spin. I summoned her energy and happy spirit and I haven't stopped yet.

It got me thinking of how many others there must be like me. Maybe they have machines but are frightened to use them. So this book is about overcoming that nonsense, and just having fun. To use sewing as a way to add flair and texture to your craft projects, clothing, home decorations and more.

I've decided to sprinkle my book with anecdotes from my fellow crafters. Mistakes happen, but we overcome them!

I'm currently accepting submissions for three topics:

1. One paragraph about your ultimate funny sewing memory. Did you ever have a Mission Impossible thread challenge? Home Ec disaster? Send it in!

2. Your most treasured tip when it comes to sewing.

3. High res photo of extremely creative/over-the-top sewing art or fashion item to be featured in a "gallery" spread at the back of the book.
